CURRENT OPENINGS
The following positions are currently open. Audition materials will be accepted until the position is filled.
Interested candidates should submit the following personal information:
- Name
- Contact information including: phone number, email address, physical mailing address
- Candidates should also submit a video recording containing the sections listed below.
- The submission should be uploaded to a cloud storage service of the candidate’s choice (E.G. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). YouTube links will also be accepted.
A link to the recording can be sent to SFSOauditions@southfloridasymphony.org with the subject line “Your Instrument Audition.” The Orchestra Operations and Personnel Administrator will review the video submission and then they will be sent to the music director for her review.

SUBSTITUTE AUDITIONS
South Florida Symphony Orchestra invites qualified musicians who reside in the South Florida region, or the state of Florida, to submit an electronic substitute audition.
Interested candidates should submit the following personal information:
- Name
- Contact information including: phone number, email address, physical mailing address.
Candidates should also submit a video recording containing:
- One (1) movement of a concerto or solo work.
- Five (5) standard orchestral excerpts.
- (Optional) one (1) excerpt on an auxiliary instrument, if appropriate.
Percussion candidates should submit:
- One (1) short mallet solo work.
- One (1) excerpt each on xylophone, glockenspiel, snare drum, tambourine, triangle, bass drum, and cymbals.
The submission should be uploaded to a cloud storage service of the candidate’s choice (E.G. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). YouTube links will also be accepted.

Candidates should be aware that substitutes residing within 50 miles of South Florida are not eligible for travel reimbursement, and that the maximum reimbursement for musicians outside of the region yet in the state of Florida, is $300.
Substitute auditions will be accepted on a continual basis.
