About this Concert:
Our “Unstoppable” season concludes with an emotional reckoning of love and passion, and the not-to-be-missed SFSO premiere of Chen & He’s Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto, performed by SFSO concertmaster Huifang Chen. Known as the “Romeo and Juliet of the East” it tells a timeless tale of star-crossed lovers. Brahms’ brilliant Romantic-era Symphony No. 4 and Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, a stormy thriller of vengeance and familial love, complete the program.
