COMING UP -- Nov. 13 & 16: 100 Years of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue

100violins

Be One in 100. Give the Joy of Music.

Imagine the spark in a child’s eyes when they hold a violin for the very first time.
Now imagine knowing that you made that moment possible.
South Florida Symphony Orchestra’s 100-Violin Initiative is a movement to bring the joy of music into the lives of underserved students in local elementary and middle schools. Your support enables South Florida Symphony to provide an introductory music program – for FREE — that includes lessons in reading music, hands-on instruction and working as an ensemble, experiencing the power of playing together.

Why It Matters

Recent state funding and other arts sector budget cuts have deeply impacted cultural organizations. Too many children are growing up without access to music education — the very programs that inspire creativity, boost academic success, build confidence and foster a lifelong connection to the arts.

By donating $1,000, you’ll:

  • Place an instrument directly into the hands of a child.
  • Provide music instruction in reading, playing, and performing.
  • Give them the chance to find their voice through music.

Join the 100 – Make an investment

We invite you to be one of 100 music lovers who want to provide a rich learning experience for someone with a bright future ahead of them. Whether you played an instrument before, or just have a passion for music, this is the perfect opportunity to give from the heart.
