About the Concert:
South Florida Symphony Orchestra’s 27th season comes to a dazzling end with two celebrated works. Prokofiev remarked that his Piano Concerto No. 3 was “devilishly difficult” and its dream-like yet modernist structure, a decade in the making, is cherished by audiences the world over, beautifully demonstrating Prokofiev’s genius and technical prowess.
Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, dubbed the “Romantic,” transports audiences to a lush soundscape bristling with Medieval romance. With its majestic brass fanfares and sweeping strings, Bruckner’s vivid orchestration concludes with a triumphant and uplifting finale.
